I’ve been wanting to do some more detailed illustrations! Or rather, some illustrations that might get people a little more interested in my story. Sometimes I like being a bit artsy, and adding in some symbolism… I’m not sure how well it stands as a work of “art” art, but I had a good time making it and I think it tells the story that I want to tell!
Kajj isn’t able to stop searching, as Mother is dead and there is no one left who is able to rescind her order. And so he keeps looking for the missing Daughter, even though he’s pretty certain at this point that she has to be dead. He’s all alone now, with his family dead and his body and his mind failing him… but he keeps holding on to the things he still has to hope for. Keir, for instance, and that very last shadow of hope that maybe the Daughter really is still out there, and there is hope for his people yet…
